OUR HEALTH

We finally caved!  I forced Less to take me to Costco.  I was so happy to finally pick out the food for this month.  Soy milk, yogurt, eggs, pineapple, green beans, grapefruit, spinach, asparagus, broccoli... I guess I was a little deprived last month of my leafy greens!  Katia, from Talyatti Russia would always laugh at me summer 2009 about how I only ate "weeds."  At that time I practically was vegan But how could you blame me when every corner looked like exhibit A.  I guess it is quite a phenomenon how much I look forward to eating my greens.   I just feel like delicious healthy colorful meals makes life ten times better! 30.10.10

We officially started our very first budget for the month of October.  While we are determined to stick to it, we already are aware of some of the changes we will make in the future budget. One of these changes is expanding the percentage spent on food.
Meals are getting creative and strategic. Lately it's been pretty Russian--meals of cabbage and potatoes.
Today it was lentils, garbanzo beans, cabbage, redskin potatoes, cilantro, sour cream, salt & pepper.  Not a bad salad.  Just so happy to have healthy foods to eat.  Its almost making me eat healthier in some ways because all the junk is virtually gone. 27.10.10
