Part of the procedure of buying shoes at Moving Shoes is to take each shoe for a spin on the sidewalk out in front of the store. Robbie probably tried on ten pairs of running shoes while we were there. That means at least ten spins down the sidewalk. Then the guy helping us would ask certain questions about arch and cushion. He would comment on how Rob ran and what sort of shoe he would need for his own movement. The way this man talked about shoes was unbelievable—In comparison to him, felt like I was a stranger to my feet. I’ve been wearing shoes my whole life but never have I been so intimate and expressive about my feet. He knew the exact questions to ask Rob in order to find the perfect pair of shoes. And perfect pair we found!
